Design Problem
The marketing organization regularly hosts various types of events, including networking dinners, meetups, and large conferences. These events, no matter what size, these events need a "home" to drive registration to the events.
Constraints
- Some events will require links to Cvent to purchase tickets; the experience of working with Cvent can't be changed.
- Each event has both a pre-event and post-event "experience;" the pre-event experience drives registration activity, while the post-event "experience" gives users access to key resources (recordings, slides, etc.). Can we standardize that experience without adding too much manual work?
- Usability testing should be done once prototypes are in hand; testing should also be done beforehand to benchmark current UX.
Process
Key Personas
- Marketers and content editors: require flexibility and ability to optimize for conversion, but still have a cohesive look and feel across them.
- Explorer: Exploring Pega's products, capabilities and industry-specific offerings.
- Evaluator: Shows high interest in Pega and may be actively evaluating our products.
Key Scenarios
- When I'm considering an event, I need to clearly know what it's about, when it is and where it is so I can make the right decision.
- When I've decided to attend an event, I need to clearly know how to register so I can get my name on the list.
- When I'm considering an event, I need to get an idea of what the agenda is so I can plan out my time and evaluate whether it's worth it to me.
